COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR 2024
On Saturday, February 24, twenty-eight people walked 2km in Hampton to support Coldest Night of the Year (Outflow Ministry in Saint John). Thanks to everyone who braved the chilly late afternoon temperatures. By all accounts it was a great spirit strengthening experience! Thank you Mary for leading us in prayer, and thank you Minerva for being our sign bearer. Thank you Doug for providing treat bags at the end of the walk. A big thank you goes out to everyone who made donations to support the CNOY team “Hampton United Church”. Donations stand at $1540 which is more than two times our $700 goal. This is truly amazing! Let’s be ever mindful of those in need and continue to support them with our prayers and our actions!

We walk for those whose days are a battle to house and feed their families, and whose nights are filled with fear and frustration. We walk for those driven from home by violence and abuse. And we walk for people overwhelmed by isolation, guilt and despair. We walk humbly, realizing that anyone can lose their footing and then lose everything else. Each step we take brings someone closer to safety, health and home, as together, we raise funds for organizations whose commitment and work transforms people’s lives. In the Saint John area we’re supporting Outflow Ministry.
